Our first event of the year, which I hope will be Sold Out, is our second collaboration withย Soil and Shadowโs Nikki Silvestri,ย focused onย Connective Conflict & Fertile Feedback.ย I will own that I could use more guidance and structures to navigate conflict and give & receive challenging feedback. Nikki has a way of making this work comfortable, engaging, and eye-opening. I know a $300 ticket might feel steep but this would normally be $550 per person. And the value of improved interpersonal and management skills is high and sustainedโฆ More details below.
I just know that 2025, while not without challenges and hard work, is going to be a positive and impactful year. Canโt wait to see you, and support collective empowerment and action.

Many of our Napa Green members and participants in our 2022 and 2023 Symposiums have taken meaningful action in recent years. We are offeringย six RISE Leadership Awardsย that will be given out during the six days of the RISE Symposium.
One award may be given out for each of theย Six Pillars of Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership:
We are focused on successes andย measurable resultsย achieved within the past 24 months. This award is open to any winery, vineyard, or industry operation. This can include supply chain, but the applicationย cannotย be for a single product or service.
Award:ย Those who win the award will be given the chance to give a 5-7 minute version of a โTED Talk,โ focused on telling a skilled, engagingย story, with selective use of photos and visuals that will enhance the audience experience.
Submission Deadline:ย March 7, 2025
Any/all RISE Leadership Awards will be announced by March 30, 2025

Weโre collaborating with a good friend and former Napan on this workshop โ Natalie Winkler.
See equipment and hear from Clemens, Pellenc, Fischer and vineyard managers about the opportunities and challenges for each type of weed management tool. There will be cultivators and undervine mowers to investigate. Spanish speakers are welcome and encouraged! Some presenters are fluent.

Napa Greenโs vineyard team is trained to develop regenerative, whole-farm Carbon Farm Plans (CFPs). These plans review all of the current beneficial practices that are increasing soil and ecosystem health and storing carbon, and identify additional opportunities to regenerate the soil and vineyard ecosystem and simultaneously maximize carbon capture in a given property. Each vineyardโs goal is to become carbon neutral (or negative) and increase the resilience of vineyards, businesses, and our community.

All of our members are committed to using at least 60% renewable energy, whether through on-site solar and other renewable sources or by working with @mcecleanenergy to access clean power through the grid. The impact? Over 1.2 million pounds of CO2e saved by wineries and vineyards in just one year. To put that into perspective itโs the equivalent to offsetting the emissions from driving over 1.5 million miles in a typical gas-powered car!

Napa Green Certified Vineyards implement climate-smart burn practices, such as Conservation Burning, Flame Cap Kilns, and Air Curtain Burners. These practices reduce smoke and emissions and create biochar. Biochar is re-fossilized wood that provides long-term carbon storage. Even more compelling, when inoculated and applied with compost, biochar aids in water retention and increases water and fertilizer efficiency.
