Join us Thursday March 23rd 2023 for our Forest Management Workshop at @seaveyvineyard from 9:00am - 12:00pm!

At this no cost event, Seavey Vineyard will be discussing their approach to proactive forest management and stewardship of the oak woodlands adjacent to their winery and vineyards.

This workshop will include a hike to see their fuel reduction work, juxtaposed with adjoining land that has not been managed, how they've processed the wood waste to create biochar, continued maintenance with grazing animals, and hear about the support they have received from the @naparcd and UCCE.

Not only does it highlight the beauty of this season in Napa Valley, it also highlights two effective sustainability practices at Napa Green Winery @tressabores.

1. Flowering mustard as a cover crop - not only is it iconic & beautiful, it helps keep our soils healthy.

2. Animals in the vineyard - they are great for natural weed control, adding nutrients back to the soil and their presence in a vineyard means less tractor passes are necessary.
