We’re beginning to count down the days to our RISE Climate & Wine Symposium. Only five weeks remain! RISE is all about building community and empowering collective action. These events are for anyone in the wine industry ready to accelerate sustainability and climate action leadership.
Check out the details below and on risegreen.org, get your NG member discount code, and get your tickets! Reminder that six packs can be divided amongst your team.
Next week we’ll be announcing the winners of our RISE Leadership Awards. These leaders will get to give their version of a brief “TEDTalk” during RISE!
RISE is THE event to attend in 2025. I’m not the only one who thinks so:
Ray Isle (Apr. 30) shares, “The only way to have any real impact on large-scale issues is to work together, and events like RISE are critical for fostering collaboration. Wine is a community as much as something we love to drink, and when it comes to climate and wine, we can make visible change together.”
Jermaine Stone (May 6) notes, “True sustainability isn’t just about the land—it’s about creating opportunities, breaking barriers, and ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table. I’m honored to be participating in the RISE Climate & Wine Symposium; we’re not just talking—we’re building a future where diversity is the standard, not the exception.”
Mimi Casteel (May 8) says, “Never has it been more important for our industry to lead. In times like these, true solutions are born when we gather with curiosity and commitment, and that is precisely what RISE calls us to do. Decades from now our wines and our successors will tell the stories of how we met this moment. Let’s write a good story.”
See you there!

Don’t miss the real-world insights, results and actionable steps shared by visionary global leaders coming to each day of the RISE Symposium. Our expert speakers and panelists will explore critical questions, including:
Here is a quick taste of two of these forums:
May 1 – Is Regenerative Ag Our Future?
Napa Green’s own Ben Mackie will moderate a conversation with Dr. Kimberly Nicholas (sustainability scientist and author, Under the Sky We Make), Jonathan Lundgren (agroecologist and leader of Ecdysis Foundation and the 1000 Farms Initiative), and Caine Thompson (Head of Sustainability for O’Neill Vintners & Distillers, Managing Director of Robert Hall Winery).
Learn how these leaders are using regenerative practices to demonstrate measurable benefits for vineyards, wineries, and the bottom line
May 8 – Can Forest & Creek Restoration Create Localized Climate Cooling?
An exciting outcome of RISE 2023 was the creation of a Watershed Restoration Collective led by Tod Mostero (Dominus Estate), Mimi Casteel (Hope Well Wine), and Anna Brittain (Napa Green). Two ecological experts will join them in discussion – Brock Dolman (permaculture and regenerative design leader) and Obi Kaufman (ecologist and author, The State of Fire). This incredible lineup will discuss the potential to combat heat domes through landscape restoration and rehydration.
The wins could be huge: capturing and storing water, enhancing biodiversity, reducing fire risk and increasing resilience, and generating meaningful localized cooling.
Join Us in Collective Action and Impact
Last year, we launched our premiere “Cheers to Climate Smart Wines!” consumer and community campaign. This co-marketing program raises consumer awareness of your winery’s climate action leadership, generates incremental sales, and supports Napa Green.
Why is this so important? While more than 66% of consumers say they will pay more for an environmentally sustainable product, nearly 80% say they don’t know how to identify these companies and products.
Cheers to Climate Smart Wines! spotlights Napa Green members’ commitment to climate smart winemaking. Throughout the month of July, the campaign will promote engagement with the growing number of consumers that want to support climate friendly, purpose-driven wineries.
How does it work? Choose a giveback method that works for you with a minimum donation commitment of $2000 to participate. Examples include allocating a percentage of tasting fees, tasting experiences, or featured SKUs generated in July.
Napa Green will provide participating members:
