Napa Green news

Thank you again to all of our incredible members, partners, and collaborators! We deeply appreciate your commitment and hard work throughout the past year. Your dedication to sustainability and climate action makes a meaningful, tangible difference every day.

By working together, we are achieving significant progress toward our goals for a truly sustainable wine industry and a resilient, thriving community here in the Napa Valley. Your ongoing support is the bedrock of our success, and we look forward to achieving even more with you in the year ahead.

Our strategy for the coming year is built upon three foundational pillars:

  • Doubling down on direct, boots-on-the-ground support and expertise: hands-on support for both winery and vineyard certification and implementation of practices that help your business and the environment

  • Providing practical resources and education: technical workshops, best practice toolkits, and our digital resource library

  • Fostering a strong, connected community: networking events, membership and knowledge exchanges, and celebrating member achievements with the broader public

While we have had some recent organizational changes, the commitment of our team and board remains strong; we are here to support our members and the community. We deeply appreciate your continued support and participation in the Napa Green community. Your involvement enables us to set the highest bar for sustainability and climate action in the wine industry.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, ideas, or concerns.

With Gratitude,

The Napa Green Team & Board

GRAPES FOR HUMANITY: FINE WINE AUCTION

We have one slot left in our exclusive Grapes For Humanity “Dream Lot” Experience online auction, which runs from April 16-22, 2026.

Example Dream Lots:

  • Lodging and private tasting packages
  • Curated “Dream Lot” experiences exclusive to your estate
  • Behind-the-scenes access not available to the general public

Why Participate?

  • Zero Shipping Hurdles: Because this auction focuses on visitation and “in-person” experiences, guests will enjoy the best of Napa Valley right here on-site, eliminating the complexities of international wine shipment.
  • Global Visibility: We are collaborating closely with Grapes for Humanity to promote the auction extensively, sharing the remarkable stories and sustainability leadership of our participating wineries with a worldwide audience.
  • Impact: Your contribution directly supports Napa Green’s mission to scale climate action and resilience within our community.

SHOWCASE YOUR WINE AT SUSTAINABLE EVENTS

Every year Napa Green pours wine at Earth Day Napa to showcase sustainability practices and raise funds for the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County Field Trip Bus Grant Program and the Darcy Aston Scholarship.

This year, we are also showcasing sustainable wines at the Russian River Fungi Fest, a two day celebration of fantastic fungi. We will pour Napa Green Certified wines all weekend while attendees enjoy mushroomy markets, workshops, foraging expeditions, educational talks, mycelial networking and more.

To donate wines or get involved, reach out to megan@napagreen.org.

LIGHTWEIGHT GLASS IS A WIN FOR WINE

Clos Du Val’s new Verallia-supplied bottles are 30% lighter than those previously used, achieving a 34% reduction in carbon emissions from glass production alone. Learn how Clos Du Val is using Verallia’s light weight glass to elevate their sustainability leadership. How do your bottles weigh in?
