It’s easy to plan a wonderful tasting adventure, building your visits around environmentally responsible wineries. Simply check napagreen.org for earth-authentic wineries – Napa Green is a comprehensive environmental certification program for vineyards and wineries in the Napa Valley.
Many of these top wineries are open by appointment only, but your Napa Wine Tours guide can prepare private, customized adventures for you and/or your group, spanning half day, full day or even multi-day excursions.
Simply put, the Napa Green program represents a soil to bottle approach to environmental stewardship and winemaking, integrating holistic management practices at every step of the process. It’s all verified by independent, third party certification of farms and winemaking facilities. That means you can feel extra good about enjoying your wine tasting experiences.
For example, you may crave Cabernet Sauvignon. Your wine guide can arrange VIP visits to green gems like Silver Oak, Spottswoode and Schweiger. You may fancy some sparkling wine, in which case Mumm, Rutherford Hill and ZD are excellent sustainable options. For a deep taste of Napa Valley history, meanwhile, Larkmead, Schramsberg and Jericho Canyon show how modern green practices meld seamlessly with local winery tradition.
