Cheers to Climate Smart Wines! spotlights Napa Green Certified members’ commitment to climate smart grape growing and winemaking. Throughout the month of July, the participating Napa Green wineries will share their sustainability commitments and actions with you, their guests, and give back a portion of their proceeds to support the Napa Green nonprofit.

The Napa Green nonprofit is a global leader in sustainable winegrowing, setting the highest bar for sustainability and climate action in the wine industry. Napa Green facilitates whole-system soil to bottle certification for vineyards and wineries, and provides the resources and tools to continually improve.

Phifer Pavitt is a boutique family winery deeply dedicated to environmental stewardship, including a “recycled” 19th century tasting barn, insulated by 100% post-consumer recycled blue jeans, and almost every aspect of the tasting room is reclaimed.
Phifer Pavitt Wines will donate all tasting fees collected in July in support of Cheers to Climate Smart Wines!

Pine Ridge is a member of International Wineries for Climate Action and has done a detailed emissions inventory. They have significantly reduced bottle weights to cut their carbon footprint.
In July, Pine Ridge designed a special Explorer’s Tasting and will donate a portion of the proceeds to Napa Green.
Chandon has planted a pollinator row every 10th row in their vineyard to provide bee & butterfly habitat, and eliminated the use of synthetic herbicides, focusing on cultivating healthy soils and biodiversity.
For every bottle of Los Carneros Vintage Brut, 2017 sold at the winery or online in July they are donating 20% of proceeds to Napa Green.
