Happy harvest!
The intervening time since last harvest has passed quickly, with our:
While so many of you will be busy making this year’s wines (that I can’t wait to try), our team is diving into planning for next year’s RISE Climate & Wine Symposium. Ticket sales are live. And we’ll be hosting at least three more events this year:
We’re going to have some BIG NEWS to share this fall, so please be on the lookout. We’re grateful for our community, and what looks to be another beautiful vintage.
Thank you,

You asked, we listened. Quite a few members have said they would be more likely to use the Napa Green logos on labels and packaging if there was another word or two helping guests, customers, sommeliers, retailers, and distributors understand what it means to be certified.
All Six Pillars of Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership contribute to reducing and drawing down emissions. Our members are “Climate Smart” leaders. See our Climate Smart Talking Points.
So now there are three new Climate Smart logo options. You can keep using the current Napa Green Vineyard and Winery logos for now. For members who are comprehensively certified both Napa Green Vineyard and Winery, there is now a 2-in-1 “Soil to Bottle” logo available.
If you would like to use the logos on wine packaging or labels, please see the Logo Use Guidelines, and fill out and submit the appropriate Application. Please note, a new application needs to be submitted for each vintage.
Who doesn’t like being smart? Napa Green is stepping up promotion of our members’ commitment to sustainability and climate action. We’re grateful to the 21 members who jumped onboard to be a part of our inaugural Cheers to Climate Smart Wines campaign. This is a chance to spotlight the leading climate smart practices of these and all our members. And it also serves as a meaningful platform to give back to the Napa Green nonprofit.
We know this campaign is reaching consumers and industry leaders, because we’re hearing from them, and the numbers don’t lie! We’ve had over 35,000 views of our Climate Smart reels and social content. The Cheers to Climate Smart Wines landing page has had >850 visits. Reels from members like @WhitehallLane have received thousands of views, and posts from other members have hundreds of “Likes.” On @NapaGreen’s Instagram:
We plan to repeat this campaign for Earth Month, so please let us know if you want to be involved. Contact megan@napagreen.org.
Less than three years after the rollout of the next-level Napa Green Vineyard certification we’ve hit some important milestones. We now have 40 growers and 80 vineyards certified, with another 20 growers actively pursing certification. Napa Green Vineyard is a whole-property certification so we have 5,000+ vineyard acres and another 5,000+ surrounding acres certified, encompassing hedgerows, creeks and river, wildlands and forests.
We’ve collaborated with 10 Vineyard Management Companies on certification for their clients, and these VMCs have themselves been audited to ensure they meet the “Social Justice, Diversity & Inclusion” standards with their teams and employees. Social sustainability is foundational for economic and environmental sustainability.
Napa Green Vineyard is a cutting-edge certification developed specifically for the wine industry, providing a practice- and performance-based roadmap for regenerative viticulture, climate action, and social equity. In addition to expert knowledge, training, and resources we provide hard to find consulting services at a fraction of their value. Our Vineyard team provides custom regenerative “Carbon Farm Plans” for each certifying property (worth $1,500-3,000+), as well as Irrigation Distribution Uniformity Assessments (worth $1,000-2,000+).

In June, World Finance Magazine named Amorim the Most Sustainable Company in the Wine Industry. We are consistently impressed by their whole system approach to sustainability. Congratulations on this much deserved recognition!
