Start your day with some sparkling wine at Mumm Napa - a Napa Green Certified Winery. Kick back in the salon or on the patio and toast (or santé, as the French say) with a sparkling wine flight - there are several to choose from. Mumm Napa has beautiful views across valley vineyards to the Mayacamas Mountains. They also have a fine art photography gallery, including original Ansel Adams prints. Mumm Napa's estate vineyard is certified Napa Green Land. They are committed to environmental stewardship and social sustainability, partnering with a network of more than 50 growers each year. As Andy Hoxsey, one of Mumm Napa's growers observes, "We are all just stewards of the soil."
From Mumm head up in elevation to Rutherford Hill Winery for some stunning Napa Valley views. Try their elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, among other wines. Rutherford Hill has a nearly mile-long cave (book in advance for their cave tour and barrel tasting). You can also book a picnic lunch - you provide the food, Rutherford Hill provides a table, two bottles of wine, glasses and the backdrop (prices start at $75). Rutherford Hill is certified both Napa Green Land and Napa Green Winery and they are constantly looking for natural and green solutions that deliver the highest quality wine.
Finish your day at ZD Wines, known for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Plan ahead and book an Eco Vineyard Tour. ZD Wines takes a holistic approach to sustainable farming and winemaking. A certified Napa Green Winery, they've implemented waste reduction, water recycling, have Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations and the winery is powered by solar energy. Their estate vineyards are certified organic since 1999. As Winemaster/CEO Robert deLeuze says, "Sustainability and innovation in all aspects of winemaking connects to our commitment to quality, consistency and unique style."
